Well, it’s been a whole year since I made a new blog post, mostly because I don’t have much to say. I do have something to say now, though. I’m currently re-developing my long-time passion project Mnemoria.
What is Mnemoria?
It’s a comic I’ve been trying to work on for many years, but could never find the motivation to work on it past 9 pages. Nor make a good summary. But that changed this year, and the summary for the comic is:
A supernatural modern fantasy drama about otherworldly community service volunteers who sometimes have to fight things.
I’ve been playing with these characters like dolls since I was in junior high, so I’m content to know that I finally have one building block out of the way.
I’ve taken down the original pages I made for the story, but they’ll be available again in the future to look at. For now, I’m basically starting a clean, new slate for the re-development.
The main protagonists of Mnemoria are two elves named Shrialba and Kee-Chee, and they both share something in common: they’re outsiders bumbling through an otherworldly planet (Earth). Shrialba works for a volunteer research group that operates under the guise of a window installment and repair company, and Kee-Chee was a warrior from 2,000 years ago brought back from the dead. Here is the concept art for both of them:
You can learn more about them by following Mnemoria‘s development on Tumblr or Substack. In the future, you’ll see the more mature works and spoiler-ridden content on Patreon. The spoilers will also be available on Ko-Fi, but not the mature stuff since it’s against policy. (Don’t worry about any of that, though. My Patreon/Ko-Fi are pretty much dormant at this point.)
